“There Was a Country”

Another, created from its ashes with shame
Oh! Let the first world be engulfed in flame
Women giving birth to their mother
The blind, to lead the sighted on and further
Nuts become the bearers of fruits
xviii. Humanism with celebration of brutes

The poor spends his token to appease the rich
Elders find the children's keeps beyond reach
The sheep become guides to the shepherds
xiv. And the cattle-guards became disguised leopards

Then Things fell apart
The falcon could not hear the falconer
Till Day light departs
x. The dog hears not, the whistler

And we got it all wrong
viii. Till...

Greed found its way in like a thief
Birds once nested on trees and chameleon on leaf
Trees bore fruits and fruits conceived nuts
Little ones played under the moon's watchful eye
iii. While the elders smiled and peacefully die

Before It became history
i. There was a Country

The Soaring Eagle
