SCHOLAR SIMON TAKES PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE TO BAPTIST STUDENTS IN ADAMAWA STATE. Simon BITRUS (Class 7)

SCHOLAR SIMON TAKES PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE TO BAPTIST STUDENTS IN ADAMAWA STATE.

On the 27th of September, 2021, Scholar Simon Bitrus, a Graduate of Accounting from Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State Nigeria, gathered over 15 SS3 students of Baptist High School, Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State, to discuss PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE: IMPLICATIONS ON NATION BUILDING, in partial fulfillment of the requirements to graduate from ISERH Undergraduate Studies Class 7.

It was an interactive session with the students as he made a brief introduction of himself, ISERH and the purpose of the project. He asked about their understanding of what peace is, and coexistence. He explained that coexistence is a state or a situation whereby two or more groups are living together while respecting their differences and resolving their conflicts nonviolently. He pointed out the factors contributing to human division: Race/Ethnicity, Socio-economic, and Culture/Beliefs/Religion Factors. He then explained that peaceful coexistence happens when each divide is allowed to remain with its value systems, rites and beliefs while still staying in harmony with other people of heterogeneity. He rounded up the engagement by exposing them to the three principles of peaceful coexistence which are: Respect, Validation and Approval. He entertained their questions and cleared their confusion and curiosity.

Having successfully implemented this project, he has hereby fulfilled a part of the requirements expected of him to graduate and get inducted as an ISERH Associate Ambassador, and if all things being equal, he shall have unrestricted access to the resources available on the Ambassadors Portal - starting from Sunday 5th of December, 2021, immediately after their convocation and induction ceremony on the designated platform.

ISERH Undergraduate Studies is a FREE online course where African undergraduates and fresh graduates are trained (via telegram ) by professionals, for a period of 5 months (minimum) on leadership, socio-economic, relationship and entrepreneurial skills.
